Abstract: The invention relates to a voice based online infotainment system in vehicles. The system comprises a microphone connected to the bluetooth mounted in the vehicle infotainment unit for giving a voice input in form of album name, song name, internet radio station name. A mobile phone, having installed Intelliplay mobile application with algorithms for identifying the voice and convert to the text format, linked to the said bluetooth unit of vehicle by a communicating profile to receive the said voice input. The said mobile communicatingly connected to cloud storage server or media storage server by the internet for search and streaming of desired song/audio sound. A communicating link between the said mobile application and the said infotainment unit of vehicle through A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile). A speaker connected to the said bluetooth unit of vehicle to play the said streaming song/audio sound.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:-
The present invention relates to infotainment system in vehicles and more particularly the present invention relates to the voice based online media file search infotainment system in vehicles.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:-
In the current scenario, vehicles play a major role in a common man's life. In the olden days, vehicles are merely used to commute from one place to the other. Since majority of the people spend their day in driving, the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM'S) started adding new features in the vehicle infotainment system so that people don't feel the boredom in their travel. As music plays a major role in the entertainment of people, audio devices and other sophisticated music systems started making their.presence in the car infotainment system. In the olden days, the sources for the music or songs are in the form of Compact Disc or through Memory Card and other memory storing devices. The Compact Discs or other storage devices are inserted into the port of the infotainment system and the user can select the song from the list of songs shown in a vehicle infotainment screen.
Recent days the usage of internet has seen great benefits in different areas. The vehicles are no excuse to that as many of the navigation and other information regarding the vehicle are retrieved from the internet or wireless technologies through the vehicle infotainment system. Many attempts are made to search the online songs either via the vehicle infotainment interface or through the separate after market fitment.
The prior art US 20040214525 A1 from Byung-Koo Ahn et al. discloses an online music data providing system via Bluetooth car kit comprises a music-data providing server for providing music data through a network; a mobile communication system connected to the network; a mobile station for wirelessly accessing the mobile communication system and performing the Bluetooth
protocol; and a Bluetooth car kit Installed in a vehicle, having a Bluetooth function for performing the Bluetooth protocol, for performing short range radio links by the Bluetooth protocol to the mobile station, receiving the music data from the music-data-providing server through the mobile station, reproducing them, and outputting them. Since the music files distributed by the music-data-providing server are encoded, they are not transmitted or reproduced to other devices except the car kit. Further, the present invention provides various categories of contents in addition to the online music data distribution service through the car kit.
Another patent application US 20130191122 A1 of Justin Mason discloses a voice electronic listening assistant wherein it relates to retrieving audio files which can be played on a sound system in a vehicle, and more particularly to a system that utilizes voice recognition to access a database from a vehicle via the internet with voice recognition software that allows hands-free searching and acquisition of the audio file.
Another European Patent EP 1939880 B1 of Harman International Industries, Inc. discloses a method of controlling a vehicle infotainment system with personalized content wherein the driver gives a voice command to the infotainment system in the vehicle. There is something called as "summary music identification Value" as database (could be text, vector etc.,) in infotainment system to search the voice command through an algorithm. (Summary music identification value is used for the classification of commands like language (of the song), movie, song type, etc. The algorithm compares the voice command with the database and connects to internet and plays the song.
Another prior art US 7031477 B1 of Matthew Rodger Mella et al. discloses a voice-controlled system for providing digital audio content in an automobile the unit in automobile has two parts: a dashboard unit and a CPU unit. The dashboard unit will have the display and IR receiver for remote and normal function controls. The CPU unit will have the memory, processor, RAM etc. The
voice is received by the CPU unit and processed and appropriate action is taken accordingly. The response can also take data from an external memory like USB drive data or an external hard-disk connected to the infotainment system. The CPU part can also read the bar code reader etc., to select the songs. The CPU controls the speaker to play the songs.
Another prior art US 2004/0064306 A1 of Michael Casey et al. discloses a Voice activated music playback system wherein a spoken query is represented as a phonetic lattice and paths through the phonetic lattice are converted into a set of text queries. The database is searched to generate a playlist of recordings matching the set of text queries and samples of the recordings on the playlist are then played. A particular sample is selected as an acoustic query for searching the database to update the playlist with recording matching the acoustic query. Samples of the recordings on the updated playlist are played and a particular sample of the updated play list is selected. A particular record associated with the sample then played.
The entire prior art attempts made for voice based online music or other media files search in vehicle is either too complex or involves some limitations in terms of content of music, fetch back time, clarity of the music, time of delivery etc. Hence there is a need in the art for a voice based online music system in vehicles wherein the mode for internet connection is through a mobile device and the song or music search is in the cloud space.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PRESENT INVNETION:-
Some of the objects of the present disclosure aimed to ameliorate one or more problems of the prior art or to at least provide a useful alternative are described herein below:
An object of the disclosure is to provide voice based online infotainment system in vehicle wherein the songs are searched by voice command of the user.
Another object of the present disclosure is to provide voice based online infotainment system in vehicle wherein the songs are retrieved from the cloud space search engine.
Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide an in-car music system wherein the voice command for the song search is through a mobile application of the user smart phone.
Other objects and advantages of the present disclosure will be more apparent from the following description when read in conjunction with the accompanying figures, which are not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION:
Accordingly the invention provides a voice based online infotainment system in vehicle comprises a microphone connected to the bluetooth mounted in the vehicle infotainment unit for giving "a voice input in form of either album name, song name, Internet radio station name; a mobile phone, having installed intelliplay mobile application with algorithms for identifying the voice and convert to the text format, linked to the said bluetooth unit of vehicle by a communicating profile to receive the said voice input; the said mobile communicatingly connected to cloud storage server or media storage server by the internet for search and streaming of desired song/audio sound; a communicating link between the said mobile application and the said infotainment unit of vehicle through A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile); a speaker connected to the said bluetooth unit of vehicle to play the said streaming song/audio sound.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:-
A preferred embodiment will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The preferred embodiment does not limit the scope and ambit of the disclosure. The description provided is purely by way of example and illustration.
The embodiments herein and the various features and advantageous details thereof are explained with reference to the non-limiting embodiments in the following description. Descriptions of well-known components and processing techniques are omitted so as to not unnecessarily obscure the embodiments herein. The examples used herein are intended merely to facilitate an understanding of ways in which the embodiments herein may be practiced and to further enable those of skill in the art to practice the embodiments herein.
Accordingly, the examples should not be construed as limiting the scope of the embodiments herein.
The present invention is to enable the customers to search/playback the movie album/songs of their choice in any of their preferred languages (Example: English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages). Online web streaming is used as the source for the content searched. This present invention requires a mobile device with 2G or 3G wireless internet connectivity for a good internet speed to play the song smoothly in the car infotainment unit.
The idea is to bring it as a solution into vehicles as a part of mobile connectivity using Bluetooth (BT). The application needs to be developed as a "mobile app" on Android operating system which runs on the mobile but takes the initial voice command from Vehicle infotainment unit. The voice command transfer from audio unit will be through SPP (Serial Port Profile) or HFP (Hands-Free Profile) and audio playback from Smart player mobile application uses A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) protocol.
The VR (voice recognition) engine runs in Intelliplay mobile application. The customized search engine resides in "cloud" space and accessed through the Intelliplay "mobile application" of the user's mobile device. The present invention is very exclusive in the fact that songs are searched by application prompted by voice commands with the person of Indian accent in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil language album and songs. Also the search engine residing in the cloud space to search the song is very unique in nature. This customized search engine for Indian accent/languages runs on top of "Naunce" engine which is used globally for English voice search.
Figure 1 describes the complete system block diagram for the voice based infotainment system. In the Voice based online infotainment system (Hereafter referred to as Intelliplay), user gives the input via voice (either album name, song name, Internet radio station name) through vehicle microphone and this
information is sent to the mobile over Bluetooth for recognizing the voice command of the user. The identified voice is then converted to the text format by using algorithms in the Intelliplay mobile application. The mobile application accordingly searches for the media in the internet either in the cloud storage server or in the media storage server. The desired media is then streamed to the vehicle infotainment system.
Figure 2 describes the voice communication block diagram. This describes the functional block diagram for the voice communication exchange between the infotainment system and the mobile application through SPP (Serial Port Profile)/HFP (Hands Free Profile). The mobile application of the present Intelliplay will search the content in the private cloud and get the respective link to stream the song depend on the confidence factor based on different algorithms. The mobile application will stream the song from the link over internet and will be played via infotainment system
Figure 3 describes the media communication block diagram. This describes a functional block diagram for the music exchange between the mobile application and the infotainment system through A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile).
Figure 4 illustrates the flow diagram for the overall Voice based online media system for vehicle. The customer gives the input through voice command to search for the desired song or album or the internet radio station. The vehicle infotainment system transfers the voice command of the user and sends it to the mobile application for processing the command and to recognizing the media. The mobile application will search the media or radio station in the cloud server for fetching the website link for streaming the media and accordingly the cloud will send the website link to the mobile application as per user input. Simultaneously the mobile application will search the website link in the internet and stream the media from the internet. The mobile application transmits the media (song/album/radio station) to vehicle infotainment system.
TECHNICAL ADVANCEMENTS AND ECONOMICAL SIGNIFICANCE:-
The technical advancements offered by the present disclosure include the realization of:
• Searching movie album/songs/Internet radio of choice in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and other Indian languages at anytime using 3G internet connections in mobile/cell phone
• Recognize the Indian accent and search the media over internet
• User can search the Album/songflnternet Radio" by giving voice input
• Search and play the media without driver distraction from the road
• Stream the unlimited media content over internet
• It is a software solution integrated into the vehicle system and hence reduces the cost of the system without having any extra hardware and mechanical parts
