Description:Title of Invention
Water Soluble Powder Formulation of Clove Oil

Field of Invention
The present novel invention relates to a formulation that includes a combination of one or more pesticides, insecticides, or antimicrobials and one or more adjuvants and a method for inhibiting the growth of bacteria, fungi, and insect pests, more particularly it relates to a solidified salt of clove oil powder formulation applied to an agricultural field or farm with the pesticidal, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. The problem that lies with the oil in water (O/W) emulsion of clove oil is its stability, so the present novel invention provides a novel product by process of an organic and natural powder formulation of solidified salt of clove oil which is not harmful to the environment, animals, and humans on a lab-scale and has large scale production capability and is more stable in nature, and is also suitable for agricultural use.

Background of Invention
Agricultural compositions, such as pesticides, including fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides; plant nutrition, and plant health preparations are important compositions for use in domestic, horticultural, agricultural, industrial, and commercial settings, so as to provide control of unwanted pests and/or pathogens, or for improving the health of plants or crops. Providing effective pest control is highly important since pests and/or other pathogens (if not controlled) can cause loss and/or destruction of crops or other plants, or harmful to animals, humans, or to other beneficial or desired organisms. So there remains a need for environmentally safe and effective pesticides, including fungicidal, and insecticidal pesticide compositions that enhance the utility and efficacy of pesticides, so that pesticides can be used in a more environmentally safe and effective manner.
In the agricultural environment, for example, it is known that a variety of plant pests, such as insects, worms, nematodes, fungi, and plant pathogens, such as viruses and bacteria, cause significant damage to seeds, fruits, flowers, and whole plants as such. To deal with such situation, chemical pesticides have generally been used, but many of them are expensive and potentially toxic to humans, animals, and/or the environment and can persist long after they are applied. Therefore, it is usually beneficial to farmers, consumers, and the surrounding environment to use the least possible amount of chemical pesticides while controlling pest growth in order to maximize crop yields. An increasing number of cases using chemical pesticides has also resulted in increased resistance to certain chemical pesticides by pest organisms, leading to reduced effectiveness, requiring higher doses of pesticide chemicals, or even failure of certain types of pesticides such as viable control agents. As a result, many chemical pesticides are restricted.
Pesticide and/or plant health compositions may typically comprise one or more active components, and commonly also comprise an emulsifier or a surfactant component to assist with emulsification, dispersion, suspension, or another dispersion mechanism of the active compound or other composition components in a solvent or diluent, such as water. An essential class of pesticide and/or plant health active components includes oil-based active components or oil-based active ingredients. Such oil-based active components may comprise both synthetic and naturally or biologically-derived active components. Some examples of such oil-based natural or biologically-derived pesticides and/or plant health compounds have been proposed for use in place of some chemical pesticides, so as to attempt for reducing the toxicity, health, and environmental risks associated with chemical pesticide use. Pesticidal natural oils are a known class of biopesticides, including for uses in the control of insect, fungal, nematode, bacterial, and weed pests, for example. Efficacious and easy use of such pesticidal and/or plant health compositions comprising oil-based active components, which requires effective emulsification components so as to provide for desired physical properties (such as homogeneity, emulsion stability, the thermal stability of the concentrated composition, etc.) of the emulsified composition in common solvents or diluents used in pest control and/or plant health applications, such as water.
The volatile oil also known as an essential oil is the one kind of oil present in plants that has an aromatic odour and can come out and be extracted with steam distillation. The general volatility of oily ingredients is not usually miscible with water. The volatile oil is a mixture of multiple components, and the components are complex. The conventional method for such volatile and essential oil extraction is mainly produced by steam distillation and squeezing methods.
An invention disclosed in patent application number US2022079144A1 discloses agricultural compositions comprising emulsifier systems for pesticidal natural oil active ingredients. One such composition includes a pesticidal natural oil active ingredient and an emulsifier system with a first component selected from glyceryl oleate, ethoxylated oleate, and ethoxylated soybean oil; and a second component comprising ethoxylated castor oil; wherein the ratio between the first component and said second component is between 1:3 and 3:1; and where the emulsifier system disperses the pesticidal natural oil active ingredient in a water. Methods for providing agricultural compositions and applications to control one or more pests are also disclosed.
An invention disclosed in patent application number CN112243347A discloses pesticidal compositions for improving physical characteristics of pesticide formulations that comprise natural pesticidal oil active ingredients are disclosed. One such composition comprises a pesticidal natural oil active ingredient, a surfactant to disperse the active ingredient in a water emulsion and a polymeric pour point depressant effective to reduce the pour point temperature of the pesticidal natural oil active ingredient. Methods for providing pesticidal compositions and applications to control one or more pests are also disclosed.
An invention disclosed in patent application number US6548085B1 discloses a synergistic insecticide is provided by the addition of sodium lauryl sulfate or lecithin to an essential oil, preferably an essential oil which has been deregulated by the Environmental Protection Agency, to enable independently inactive or relatively inactive materials to provide commercially acceptable insecticidal properties without the need for undesirable poisons that may be toxic to humans and pets.
Naturally or biologically derived pesticide compounds have been provided by the present novel invention for use in place of some chemical pesticides in an attempt to reduce the toxicity, health, and environmental risks associated with the use of chemical pesticides. However, some natural or biologically derived pesticides have been shown to be less effective or consistent in their performance compared to competing for chemical pesticides, which has limited their adoption as control agents in pesticide markets. The present novel formulation is focused on two aspects, one is solidified salt of clove oil making and the other is its powder formulation. Clove oil is an essential oil used as a biodegradable antibacterial agent in food and pharmaceutical products. Emulsions are used to stabilize and increase the antimicrobial efficacy of oils in aqueous solutions. Smaller droplets provide better distribution of the oil. But it is very hard and challenging to stabilize this emulsion and also for a long time. Therefore, in the present novel invention, we have disclosed the novel method to convert solidified salt of clove oil into powder form. Due to this powder formulation, the clove oil stabilizes in a powder form and shows good results as well. The present novel formulation dissolves in the water and does not get separated as well. The formulation preferably contains Sodium bicarbonate which is also very beneficial in agriculture, because it stimulates the growth of good bacteria. The present disclosed novel formulation is also preferably containing sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) which is a surfactant used as herbicide and pesticide. The present novel invention needs no specific machinery for making a powder formulation. Moreover, the solidified salt is only made with clove oil, without adding the other oils or chemical materials in it. The present novel invention gives a pure solidified salt of clove oil powder or organic powder which has a good amount of clove oil. In addition, it is safe for the environment and human health too, because it does not contain any hazardous chemicals or elements. The novel process of making the solidified salt of clove oil powder formulation is simplest in a way and has only two stages. So, it is very less time-consuming and also cost-effective which makes the present novel formulation unique.
