Claims:NIL , Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to safety devices. Particularly the present invention relates to wearable safety band to dispense sanitizing liquids. Still particularly, the present invention relates to a wearable sanitizer dispensing device attachable to any protective devices such as mask, Gloves, shoes etc,.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The protective devices such as masks and gloves are essential kits which are used by the doctors and other medical personnel especially in the health care facilities such as Hospitals, clinics, testing laboratories and blood banks. Those safety kits are protecting the medical personnel while examining, testing and treating the patients who are affected by infectious diseases such as Flu, SARS, influenza, tuberculosis etc,.
Mostly, the protective devices such as masks and gloves are used once and disposed after the usage. The disposal of such protective devices are called as biomedical wastes and every year around 6 million tons of medical waste is produced all over the world. As medical wastes are mostly non-biodegradable, disposal of wastes are becoming a major problem. Nowadays, it is impossible to reduce the consumption of infectious wastes such gloves and face masks.
It is also important that, the medical personnel should clean their hands frequently to avoid infections. They have to clean their hands with sanitizing liquids after examining the infected patients. But, it may not be always possible to find and use the liquid dispenser particularly during emergency situation like surgery. Sometimes, the medical personnel may forget to sanitize their hands and touch their faces which could be a lead the spread of disease. There are no wearable devices are available to supply the sanitizing liquid.
Face mask is the most important protective device. There are different types of face masks available in the industry. One time usage masks are called as Normal masks and the reusable masks with filter and valves are commonly called as N95 mask. The most common mistake done by the mask users is, touching the mask while wearing it. Once the masks are wore in the face and used, it has to be disposed as a waste. There are no methods or devices are available to sanitize the masks before or after use.
Therefore the present invention provides a wearable device to overcome the disadvantages present in the existing art.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main objective of the present invention is to provide a safety biomedical protective device.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a wearable liquid dispensing device.
Still another objective of the present invention is to provide a safety band with sanitizer storage and dispensing means.
Still further objective of the present invention is to provide a replaceable sanitizer storage and dispenser device for face masks.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The above and other aspects, features, and advantages of certain exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig 1 depicts the side view of a wearable sanitizer dispensing device according to the present invention.
Fig 1a depicts the isometric view of a wearable sanitizer dispensing device according to the present invention.
Fig 2 depicts the bottom view of a wearable sanitizer dispensing device according to another embodiment of the present invention.
Fig 2a depicts the wearable sanitizer dispensing device with face mask according to another embodiment of the present invention.
Persons skilled in the art will appreciate that elements in the figures are illustrated for simplicity and clarity and may have not been drawn to scale. For example, the dimensions of some of the elements in the figure may be exaggerated relative to other elements to help to improve understanding of various exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. Throughout the drawings, it should be noted that like reference numbers are used to depict the same or similar elements, features, and structures.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Fig – 1 and 1a depicts the side view of the wearable sanitizer dispensing device (1) according to the present invention. Said sanitizer dispensing device (1) comprises at least a storage container (2) with Lid (3). Either side of the container (2) consists outlet pipes (4, 5). A tube (6) with predetermined length is mounted in the outlet pipes (4, 5) using the bushes (7, 8). Plurality of holes (9) are provided in the tube (6).
The container (6), tube (6) and other components are made up of rubber or polymer materials such as Polyamide, Polypropylene or polyethylene. The sanitizing liquid shall be filled in the container (2) and when the container is pressed, the sanitizer is dispensed through the holes (9). This wearable sanitizer dispensing device (1) can be worn in the wrist area of the hands like a safety band.
Fig – 2 depicts the bottom view of the wearable sanitizer dispensing device according to another embodiment of the present invention. Said sanitizer dispensing device (11) comprises at least a storage container (2) with Lid (3). Either side of the container (2) consists outlet pipes (4, 5). A tube (6) with predetermined length is mounted in the outlet pipes (4, 5) using the bushes (7, 8). Plurality of holes (9) are provided in the tube (6). At least a valve (12) is movably mounted in the tube. The amount of flow of the sanitizing liquid can be controlled using the valves (12).
Fig 2a further describes the bottom view of a wearable sanitizer dispensing device (11) with face mask (13) according to another embodiment of the present invention. Said face mask (13) consists a protective material (14) made up of few layers of non-woven filter fabric material. Elastic cords (15, 16) are used to wear the mask on the face. According to the present invention, wearable sanitizer dispensing device (11) is mounted in the existing face mask. The tube (6) is inserted in the slots (17, 18) provided in the mask. The plurality of holes (9) in the mask is positioned in a way like facing downwards to the filter fabric material.
Before or after wearing the mask, the wearer shall sanitize the mask by pressing the storage container (2). Once the Container is pressed, the liquid stored in the container is supplied through the tube and the sprayed on the mask cloth. The amount of liquid shall be controlled by the valves mounted in the tube. The liquid can be filled in the container through the Lid.
The present invention helps to solve the various disadvantages present in the existing art. The safety band helps to clean the hands immediately after examining the infected patients. The wearable sanitizer dispensing device in the face mask (13) helps to sanitize the mask. So that, the Face mask can be used for many times. The virus or bacteria deposited on the surface of the filter fabric can be killed by the sanitizer liquid once it is sprayed on the filter cloth and thereby it helps to prevent the medical personnel got infected.
