Abstract: The present invention discloses the weather information system for farming using augmented reality technology. The raw image data of the land captured using a first camera. The raw image data transferred to a server. The weather values from sensors are transferred to server. Processor generates geo-referenced data from the raw image data at the server. The geo-referenced data sent to a wireless device. The weather information sent to wireless device. The live image data of the crop is captured using a second sensor which is mounted on wireless device. The geo- referenced data overlaying on the live image data to generate the augmented reality view at the wireless device. Weather information can see on wireless device.
Claims:We Claim:
1) The weather information system for farming using augmented reality technology comprising of;
a. Capturing raw image data of land by camera
b. Weather sensor values are noted
c. Transferring raw image data and weather sensor data value to the server
d. With the help of processor, geo-referenced data is generated from raw image data
e. With the help of processor weather information for coming days are predicted
f. Transferring geo-referenced data to wireless device
g. Transferring weather information to wireless device
h. Capturing live image of land using wireless device which has another sensor mounted on it
i. Geo-referenced data overlayed to live image data to generate augmented reality picture with weather information
2) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, the weather information can receive within a second, it is time saving.
3) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, the first camera can be mounted on drone
4) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, help the farmer for planning of next action of farming
5) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, alert farmer for coming strom, heavy rain, drought, high temperature.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to the field of computer graphics, and more specifically, to a method and system for weather information system for farming using augmented reality technology.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Weather is a significant factor for crops. Temperature, sunlight and rainfall have major effects on the growth of crops. For livestock, temperatures and adequate water and food are essential. Most farmers already know about the weather with the help of weather forecast.
Weather forecasting is the application of current technology and science to predict the state of the atmosphere for a future time and a given location. Weather forecasts are made by collecting as much data as possible about the present state of the atmosphere, which includes temperature, humidity, wind, and the understanding of atmospheric processes to determine how the atmosphere will evolve in coming weeks.
But still the prediction of drought, flood situation, low/heavy rain fall, stroms is not accurate. Due to which, farmer has to experience lots of yield loss has. Due to global warming there is no fix period for any season. Sudden raining or sudden high temperature can cause loss of yield.
The present invention suggests the solution to above problems. It suggests the system for weather information using augmented reality technology.
Augmented reality (AR) is a type of interactive, reality-based display environment that takes the capabilities of computer-generated display, sound, text and effects to enhance the user's real-world experience.
Augmented reality farming refers to the application of AR techniques to farming. AR techniques may be used to overlay sensor data, previous crop imagery, or other information over a farmer's visual reality with a view to improving pest management.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, weather information system in farming using augmented reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, number of sensors and devices are used for augmented reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, any electronic device with internet connectivity is needed.
Another object of the invention is, it alerts for coming drought, stroms.
Other object of the invention is, system would suggest which crop is good for weather of particular area.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the weather information system for farming using augmented reality technology. The system and method comprising of:
Capturing raw image data of land using camera which is installed to farm. The sensors senses data about weather and send to server. The raw image data transfer to server. The processor generates geo-referenced data from the raw image data at server. The data of weather sent by sensor is compared with predicted data. Then the alert regarding weather for coming days are sent to wireless device. The geo-referenced data send to wireless device which has second sensor. Capture live image data of crop using sensor mounted wireless device. Overlaying the geo-referenced data on the live image data to generate the augmented reality at the wireless device. On the wireless device user/farmer can see augmented view of land with its parametric value. And also, weather information can see on wireless device.
The apparatus such as a data processing system, a method for adapting same having program instructions recorded thereon for comparing predicted weather information and actual weather information sent by sensor. And sent weather information such as indication of rain, high temperature or any strom to wireless device.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the weather information system for farming using augmented reality technology.
The present invention system is comprising of contents such as;
Data processing system- refer to any machine for processing data (which include computer systems, wireless devices and network arrangement for them)
Cameras- to capture image of land
Sensors- to sense the weather information such as temperature sensor, humidity sensor
The present invention implemented in a combination of both hardware and software.
Data processing system includes programming instruction. These instructions are helpful in detecting the parametric values send by sensor and not limited this only. And comparison of predicted weather data to sensor data. And information about weather for next few hours/days are sent to wireless device.
The present invention system is comprising of;
Step 1) All sensors are installed and power supply given to them
Step 2) The farmer/user decide which sensor/camera has to use for capturing image of land
Step 3) With selected sensor raw image for particular part of land is taken by nearly installed camera
Step 4) The sensor related to weather senses data. And send data to server
Step 5) The raw image has transferred to server
Step 6) With the help of processor the raw image data has transferred to geo-referenced data
Step 7) By using processor the sensor weather data is compared with predicted weather data
Step 8) Weather related information sent to wireless device
Step 9) The geo-referenced data has sent to the wireless device which has second sensor mounted on it
Step 10) The wireless device which has second sensor mounted on it, capture live image of land
Step 11) Augmented reality at the wireless device created by overlaying the geo-referenced data on the live image data
This is general overview of system. System is not bounded to this only.
The agriculture system might seem a simple and straightforward thing on an apparent level – just sow the seeds and reap the harvest. But it is not as simple as that. On the contrary it involves a whole lot of knowledge, effort and scientific approach so as to say.
The task gets even more difficult as the demands of crops are going up day by day to feed the ever-increasing population. Thanks to the ever-advancing development of science and technology which is empowering the agricultural system with a number of related products and tools to cope with the gaping demands. And among those scientific tools and weapons Augmented Reality is the newest addition.

In market some products related to augmented reality technology is available. These products are used to capture image and giving all data regarding target area. With the augmented reality view of that particular target area, all the information is seen on screen of user/farmer.
The main advantage of this system, it is weather alert for farmer. If there is any strom or heavy rain or drought or high temperature in coming days, the farmer can know with this application. So as per alert farmer can take action to save yield as possible as.
Also, due to weather information farmer can decide next action of farming, to avoid any loss of yield.
The similar example of this system, is tried in various countries.
Still it is not in so much practice, but in near future it would be more workable and it will definitely change the face on farming in coming future.
