Abstract: A window (1) comprising at least the following: a) a window frame (100) which can be installed in an opening in a wall, wherein the window frame (100) is composed of a plurality of window frame spars (101, 102, 103, 104) and the respective window frame spar (101, 102, 103, 104) is cut from a window frame profile (105); b) a sash (200) which is movably arranged on the window frame (100), in par-ticular is rotatable and/or tiltable relative to the window frame (100) in open-ing positions, wherein c) the sash (200) has a sash frame (201) in which a panel element (202) is in-serted, wherein the sash frame (201) is composed of a plurality of sash frame spars (203, 204, 205, 206) and the respective sash frame spar (203, 204, 205, 206) is cut from a sash frame profile (207), wherein d) the window frame (100) and the sash frame (201) form a circumferential re-bate space FR between them when the sash (200) is closed, wherein e) the window (1) has a locking device (300) which has one or more locking bars with at least one or more locking bolt head mechanism(s) (302), is characterized in that f) the respective bolt head lock mechanism(s) (302) has/have a housing (304), via which the respective bolt head locking mechanism(s) (302) is/are fastened to the sash frame (202) and the respective bolt head locking mechanism(s) (302) is/are each assigned a bolt piece (303), which is fas-tened to the window frame (100), wherein the housing (304) projects in the direction of the window frame (100) and the bolt piece (303) projects in the direction of the sash frame (201), wherein the housing (304) and the bolt piece (303) project into the circumferential rebate space FR, wherein g) the housing (304) of the respective bolt head locking mechanism (302) has an aperture (319) in which a bolt head (308) corresponding to the bolt piece (303) is movably mounted.
