Withdrawable Unit For A Functional Unit Compartment Of A Low Voltage Switchgear Or Controlgear

Abstract: The invention is a withdrawable unit, with improved degree of protection from dust and water, used in low-voltage electrical switchgear and controlgear assembly. The withdrawable unit has two synchronized movable operating handles with guide arms; and push and hold locking devices which lock and unlock the withdrawable unit at the test position in its functional unit compartment. The two movable operating handles with the guide arms are locked by handle stoppers and gravity-loaded handle locks and assist the user in inserting and removing a larger withdrawable unit. The gravity-loaded handle locking mechanisms lock the withdrawable unit externally at the connected position and the isolated lockable position. The withdrawable unit comprises an insertion interlock to prevent accident insertion of the withdrawable unit into a wrong functional unit compartment.
