Abstract: This work machine according to the present invention comprises, on a connecting frame 3, an intermediate frame portion 30, and left and right outer end frame portions 31 which connect to left and right track frames and are extended at an inclined orientation that becomes lower the more laterally outside the outer end frame portions are from both left and right ends of the intermediate frame section 30, wherein the intermediate frame portion 30 extends out to a position entering below an upper path portion of the crawler belt toward the lateral outside. The work machine also comprises a cover 4 having a front cover portion 40 which covers, from the front, a lateral frame portion 32 of the intermediate frame portion 30 at a position overlapping the crawler belt in the left-right direction, and a rear cover portion 41 which covers the horizontal frame portion 32 from the rear. The front cover portion 40 extends out in a forward descending inclined state from the horizontal frame portion 32, and the rear cover portion 41 extends out in a rearward descending inclined state from the horizontal frame portion 32.
