PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification describes the invention.

FIELD OF INVENTION
The Invention is related X-Y positioning system and more particularly related to a system for positioning four poster Actuators in "X & Y" direction.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
The Actuators used for Durability Test of different vehicles in four poster rig needs to move in X -Y Direction, to adjust Minimum & Max Wheel Track & Wheel Base Distances. Presently, this activity is done by loosening Bolts, rigidly mounted on bottom plate & moving it manually in T- slots provided in bottom plate. This is done for all the four actuators used for four posters. Similarly for Y direction, bottom plates are to be loosened from the channels grouted & move manually along with actuators mounted on top. This activity is cumbersome & needs lot of time to adjust wheel base & wheel track as per different models used on four posters. This required 5 to 6 manpower & 8 to 10 hours to do this activity.
OBJECTS OF INVENTION
1) The Main object of Invention is to reduce downtime of Four Poster Rig while setting Rig for different vehicles.
2) Second object of invention is to reduce manpower.
3) Third object of an invention is to reduce efforts.
4) Forth object is to eliminate use of any lifting devices like cranes.
5) Fifth object is elimination of use of resources i.e electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic power.
6) Sixth object is simplicity in operation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to Figures, four actuators (8) positioned on mounting plate (1) and each mounting plate can be moved in Y direction using a pair of movable rise - lower mechanism (3). The movable rise - lower mechanism (3) is supported on wheels and can be moved in a guided channel (5). A pair of mounting plate supported on a base plate (2). The base plate can be moved in X direction using another pair of movable raise-lower mechanism (4). The first rise-lower mechanism (3) with moving channel (5) for moving individual mounting plate is attached to the base plate (2). So that individual plates can be moved in Y direction and plates are moved in pairs in X direction. The actuator mounting plate (1) is supported on base plate (2). According to present invention for Y-direction movement the mounting plate (1) will be lifted from the base plate and moved to required position and then it will be lowered to seat on the base plate again using a movable raise-lower mechanism (3). Similarly for X-direction, the base plate (2) is seated on a bottom plate (7). The base plate (2) is connected with second raise -lower mechanism (4). The base plate (2) is lifted along with the pair of mounting plates (1). Then the total arrangement will be moved to required position and again lowered to seat on the bottom plate (7).
Arrangement for moving individual actuators in Y -direction
The actuators (8) are mounted on a mounting plate (1) seated on a base plate (2). The mounting plate (1) is connected to a pair of movable raise-lower mechanism (3). The raise - lower mechanism includes a jack support plate (9). A lead screw (10) is connected through bearing blocks (11) and support blocks to the jack support plate (9). The lead screw is rotating on bearing supports (11). The lead screw (10) having threaded portions to locate plurality of screw nuts (12). On the threaded portion of the lead screw, pairs of LH & RH screw nuts (12,12')are mounted. A pair of link bars (13a, 13b & 14a, 14b) is hinged on each screw nut on sides. The other end of link bars

hinged on a pin (15), and ends of pin having rollers (16) to move in Y- direction in a guide channel (5). The end of the link bars (13a, 13b, 14a, 14b) connected to LH & RH screw nuts (12,12') are hinged on a pin (15) supported on a roller (16). A pair of guide channel (5) are provided on both sides of the mounting plate and attached to the base plate (2).
Arrangement for moving pair of actuators in X -direction
The above said guide channel (5) is attached to the base plate (2) on which actuator mounting plate (1) is supported. The base plate (2) is connected to a second pair of raise-lower mechanism (4). The second pair of raise-lower mechanism also having same constructional features of the first. The raise lower mechanism (details not shown) includes a pair of jack support plate connected to on both ends of base plate. A pair of lead screw is connected through bearing blocks and support blocks to the jack support plate. The lead screw is rotating on bearing supports. The lead screw having threaded portions to locate plurality of screw nuts. On the threaded portion of the lead screw, pairs of LH & RH screw nuts are mounted. A pair of link bar is hinged on each screw nut on sides. The other end of link bar connected to LH & RH screw nuts are hinged on a pin, and ends of pin having rollers (wheels) to move in X - direction in a guide channel (6). The guide channel is fixed to the bottom plate (7).
Working For moving Individual actuators in Y-direction
The lead screw (10) is rotated, as the lead screw is rotates, LH & RH screw nuts (12,12') mounted on the threaded portion of the lead screw (10) start move axially. Due to the LH & RH combination the screw nuts (12,12') moves closer to each other and also the link bar hinged to it (13a,14a). This will lead to rotate the hinged link bar to each other in curved path (refer figure 4). And since the bottom end of the link bar is hinged on a pin (15) the upper end raises the screw nuts attached to it. On lifting the screw nuts (12,12') the bearing support (10) and the jack support plate (9) attached to it will also lifted up. The jack support plate raises the mounting plate (1) so that the there will not any contact between the base plate (2) and mounting plate (1). At this position the mounting plate can be moved in Y-direction in the guide channel (5). The

mounting plate with entire arrangement will move on the wheels (16) connected to the link in a guide channel.
For moving pair of actuators in X-direction
The lead screw of the second raise-lower mechanism (4) is rotated, as the lead screw is rotates, LH & RH screw nuts mounted on the threaded portion of the lead screw start move axially. Due to the LH & RH combination the screw nuts moves closer to each other and also the link bar hinged to it. This will lead to rotate the hinged link bar to each other in curved path. And since the bottom end of the link bar is hinged on a pin the upper end raise the screw nuts attached to it. On lifting the screw nuts the bearing support and the jack support plate attached to it will also lifted up. The jack support plate raises the base plate so that there will not any contact between the base plate and bottom plate. At this position the base plate can be moved in X-direction in guide channel (6). The base plate with entire arrangement will move on the wheels connected to the link.
This arrangement making system possible to lift the whole unit vertically by 5-6 mm after rotating the lead screw by one & half turn. After lifting whole unit by 5-6 mm, the unit can be moved horizontally at required position by hand. This movement becomes easy as bearings are mounted on the links. After achieving position, lead screw can be rotated anticlockwise, so that screw nuts moves away & actuator mounting plate reset on bottom plate which can be again clamped firmly with bottom plate. Need max 15-20 minute to complete the activity.
