Abstract: A yarn winder (2) winds the yarn (Y) fed out from a feeding section (6) around a storage area (A) by rotating a storage roller (41) to 5 temporarily store yarn (Y). A detection section (53) is a line sensor (53A) that detects the presence or absence of the yarn (Y) in a linear section (S1) in the storage area (A).
