Abstract: ABSTRACT YARN WINDING MACHINE A winding device 25 of a spinning machine winds a spun yarn 5 supplied from a spinning device 22, to form the package 7. When the spun yarn 5 is disconnected, a suction device 24 can catch the spun yarn 5 on the package 7 side, and a suction pipe 83 can catch the spun yarn 5 on the spinning device 22 side. When the spun yarn 5 is disconnected between the spinning device 22 and the winding device 25, the spun yarn 5 on the package 7 side is moved toward a central region in a winding width direction of the package 7 by operating at least one of a package rotation device or a traverse device 73 before yarn joining by a yarn joining device 82.
