Yarn Winding Machine And Yarn Winding Method

Abstract: A spinning machine includes a yarn storage roller 51, a winding device 25, a catching device 24, and a unit controller. The yarn storage roller 51 is arranged downstream from a spinning device 22, and winds the yarn 5 on its outer surface. The winding device 25 winds the yarn 5 onto a bobbin to form a package 7. The catching device 24 is arranged at a position between the yarn storage roller 51 and the winding device 25. The unit controller performs a yarn end preparation process before start of formation of a bunch winding on a bobbin, the yarn end preparation process being a process for causing the catching device 24 to catch a downstream yarn end of the yarn 5 stored on the yarn storage roller 51 in a state where yarn 5 is stored on the yarn storage roller 51 and spinning is stopped.
