Yaw Bearing Cleaning Assembly For Wind Turbine

Abstract: A yaw bearing cleaning assembly (40) for use with a wind turbine (10). The wind turbine includes a yaw bearing (38) that is coupled between a nacelle (16) and a tower (12) for rotating the nacelle about a yaw axis (36). The yaw bearing cleaning assembly includes a support bracket (86) that is coupled to the nacelle. At least one cleaning member (88) is coupled to the support bracket. The at least one cleaning member extends from the support bracket and positioned adjacent an outer radial surface (56) of the yaw bearing to facilitate removing debris from at least a portion of the yaw bearing when the nacelle is rotated about the yaw axis.
