Abstract: Provided is a Zn-Al-Mg plated checkered steel plate having on the plate surface thereof protruding parts and flat parts, wherein: a plating layer has a prescribed chemical composition; when observing a cross-section that is at the lengthwise center part of a protruding part and that is taken along a direction which is perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of the protruding part and which is along the plate thickness direction, the thickness ratio of the plating layer on flat parts to the left and right of the protruding part (left-side plating layer thickness / right-side plating layer thickness) is 0.2-5.0; and when T is the thickness of a base checkered steel plate at a protruding part, and t is the thickness of the base checkered steel plate at a flat part, the checker height T-t and the height x of a gap from a resting surface when the plated checkered steel plate is allowed to rest satisfy expression 1 and expression 2. Expression 1: x/(T-t)=1.5 Expression 2: 0.5
