Abstract: The present invention provides, for example: a culture medium composition for promoting the production of viruses each carrying a target gene in the culturing of cells capable of producing viruses each having the target gene introduced therein, the composition containing a pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase inhibitor; and a culture medium composition for promoting the production of viruses or virus-like particles in the culturing of cells capable of producing the viruses or the virus-like particles.
