Abstract: A casing [100] for an energy storage device to effectively dissipate the heat from the casing [100] is disclosed in the present invention. The casing [100] comprises an inner portion [104] and an outer portion [102], wherein the inner portion [104] comprises a plurality of ribs of variable dimension and/or variable density and wherein the outer portion [102] comprises a plurality of fins of variable dimension.
