We Claim:
1. A fixed frequency resonant converter (100), comprising:
an input rectifier (102) connected to a power line input;
a fixed frequency resonant LLC tank circuit (104) connected to an output of the input rectifier (102);
an LLC output rectifier (108) connected to an output of the fixed frequency resonant LLC tank circuit (104);
a buck/boost/PFC circuit (110) connected to an output of the LLC output rectifier (108); and
an output filter circuit (114) connected to an output of the buck/boost/power factor correction (PFC) circuit (110).
2. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the LLC tank circuit (104) is connected to an LLC control circuit (106) for tuning of the LLC tank circuit (104) to identify an absolute resonant frequency, wherein the LLC Control circuit provides a fixed frequency switching signal to the LLC tank circuit (104).
3. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the buck/boost/PFC circuit (110) is connected to a buck/boost/PFC controller (112), wherein the buck/boost/PFC controller (112) controls the buck/boost/PFC topology components by providing required pulse width modulated signals.
4. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fixed frequency resonant LLC tank circuit (104) comprises a half bridge LLC circuit comprising switches Q1 and Q2 serving as switching transistors at a fixed resonant frequency, capacitors C1 and C3 serving as split resonant capacitors, along with an inductor L1 serving as a resonant inductor and transformer T1.
5. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fixed frequency resonant LLC tank circuit (104) comprises a full bridge LLC

circuit comprising switches Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 serving as switching MOSFETs at a fixed resonant frequency, capacitor C2 serving as a resonant capacitor, inductor L1 serving as a resonant inductor, and transformer T1.
6. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 4, wherein the buck/boost/PFC circuit (110) comprises a buck converter comprising a switch Q3, inductor L4, diode D5 and capacitor C5.
7. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the buck/boost/PFC circuit (110) comprises a buck converter comprising a switch Q5, inductor L2, diode D4, and capacitor C4.
8. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 4, wherein the buck/boost/PFC circuit (110) comprises a boost converter comprising inductor L2, diode D3, component Q4 and capacitor C5.
9. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the buck/boost/PFC circuit (110) comprises a boost converter comprising inductor L2, diode D3, and switch Q6.
10. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 1, comprising resistors R2 and R3, wherein the resistors R2 and R3 are used as current sensors.
11. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 1, comprising resistors R1 and R4, wherein the resistors R1 and R4 are used as voltage sensors.
12. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein
the input rectifier circuit (102) rectifies an AC signal into a pulsating DC signal, the
LLC output rectifier (108) rectifies an output of the LLC tank circuit (104), the

buck/boost/PFC circuit (110) regulates an output of the LLC output rectifier (108), and the output filter circuit (114) filters any residual noise in an output signal.
13. The fixed frequency resonant converter (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a fixed frequency operation, lower dominance of magnetizing inductance and air gap between the primary and secondary transformer core windings provide for inductive wireless power transfer, wherein the transformer comprises a primary and a secondary section which are physically detachable from each other.
