Abstract: ABSTRACT A STEEL WHEEL WITH CUSTOMIZED FINISHING AND A METHOD THEREOF 5 The present disclosure provides a steel wheel for a vehicle. The steel wheel can comprise a rim (101), and a disc (102). The disc (102) can include a nave portion (104), a first annulus (104a), spokes (105) having a surface axially outwards relative to the surface of the first annulus (104), a venthole rib portion (107) having a surface axially outwards relative to the surface of the spokes (105), a rib 10 portion (109) having a surface axially outwards relative to the surface of the first annulus (104), and a crown portion (110) having a curved surface extending between the first annulus (104a) and the spokes (105). A first material is coated on an outer surface of the disc, and a second material is applied on the first material on the first annulus (104a), spokes (105), venthole rib portion (107), rib 15 portion (109), and/or the crown portion (110) for customizing finishing

Specification

We claim:
1. A steel wheel with customized finishing, comprising:
a rim (101);
a disc (102) joined to the rim (101);
5 wherein the disc (102) including:
a nave portion (104), a first annulus (104a) provided on the nave portion (104), wherein the first
annulus (104a) including a surface in an annular shape,
a plurality of spokes (105) extending radially outwards from the nave
10 portion (104), wherein a surface of the spokes (105) positioned axially
outwards relative to the surface of the first annulus (104),
a plurality of vent holes (106) formed between the spokes (105), a vent hole rib portion (107) provided along edges of adjacent spokes
(105), wherein a surface of the vent hole rib portion (107) positioned
15 axially outwards relative to the surface of the spokes (105), a rib portion (109) extending from an inner circumferential edge of the
first annulus (104), wherein a surface of the rib portion (109) provided in
an annular shape and positioned axially outwards relative to the surface of
the first annulus (104), 20 a plurality of bolt holes (108) provided on the surface of the rib portion
(109), and
a crown portion (110) connecting the first annulus (104a)
circumferentially to the spokes (105), wherein a surface of the crown
portion (110) is curved and extending between the surface of the first
25 annulus (104a) and the spokes (105);
a first material coated on an outer surface of the disc (102), and

a second material applied on the first material on the surface of the first
annulus (104a), spokes (105), vent hole rib portion (107), rib portion (109),
and/or the crown portion (110), for customizing finishing of the steel wheel.
2. The steel wheel as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first material coated on a
5 radially outer surface and a radially inner surface of the rim (101), and
wherein the second material applied on the first material on the radially inner
surface on one or a combination of a rim flange (111) and a well portion
(112).
3. The steel wheel as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first material including a
10 primer, and
the second material selected from a group consisting of paint and sticker.
4. The steel wheel as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second material including
parameters of colour, size, and shape for customizing finishing of the steel
wheel. 15 5. The steel wheel as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second material applied on
the surface of the rib portion (109), the nave portion (104) and the spokes
(105) on an outer surface of the disc (102).
6. The steel wheel as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second material applied on
the surface of the vent hole rib portion (107) on an outer surface of the disc
20 (102).
7. The steel wheel as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second material applied on
the surface of the crown portion (110) and the spokes (105) on an outer
surface of the disc (102).
8. A method of customizing finishing of a steel, comprising the steps of:
25 coating (201) a first material on an outer surface of a disc of a steel wheel,
wherein the disc including regions of a first annulus (104a), a plurality of
spokes (105), a vent hole rib portion (107), a rib portion (109), and/or crown

portion (110) of a disc (102),
wherein the first annulus (104a) provided on a nave portion (104), wherein
the surface of the first annulus (104a) in an annular shape,
wherein the spokes (105) extending radially outwards from the nave
5 portion (104), wherein the surface of the spokes (105) positioned axially
outwards relative to the surface of the first annulus (104),
wherein the vent hole rib portion (107) provided along edges of adjacent
spokes (105), wherein the surface of the vent hole rib portion (107)
positioned axially outwards relative to the surface of the spokes (105),
10 wherein the rib portion (109) extending from an inner circumferential edge
of the first annulus (104), wherein the surface of the rib portion (109)
provided in an annular shape and positioned axially outwards relative to
the surface of the first annulus (104),
wherein the crown portion (110) connecting the first annulus (104a)
15 circumferentially to the spokes (105), wherein the surface of the crown
portion (110) is curved and extending between the surface of the first
annulus (104a) and the spokes (105); and
applying (202) a second material on the first material on the surface of one or
more regions of the disc, wherein the surface of each of the regions positioned
20 in different planes. 9. The method as claimed in claim 8, wherein coating (203) the first material on
a radially inner surface and a radially outer surface of a rim of the steel wheel, and
applying (204) the second material on the first material on the radially inner
25 surface of one or a combination of a rim flange (111) and a well portion (112),
wherein the radially inner surface of each of the rim flange (111) and the well
portion (112) positioned in different planes.

10. The method as claimed in claim 8, wherein a clear coating applied on the
second material for imparting protection.
