Abstract: ABSTRACT A VALVE FOR A TRUCK WHEEL The present disclosure provides a valve 300 for a rim of a truck wheel comprising a nut 301, a threaded part 303, a valve head 304, a valve stem 305 and a valve cap 308. The valve 300 includes an upper end 306 and a lower end 307. The valve cap 308 is attached to the lower end 307. The valve head 304 is positioned at an end of the valve stem 305. The threaded part 303 extends from the valve head 304 to the upper end 306 of the valve and the nut 301 is fastened to the threaded part 303 at the upper end 306 to facilitate easy access for torquing of the nut 301. Claims:We claim:
1. A valve 300 for a rim of a truck wheel, comprising:
a nut 301;
a valve stem 305;
an upper end 306 and a lower end 307;
a valve cap 308, wherein the valve cap 308 is attached to the lower end 307;
characterized in that
a valve head 304 positioned at an end of the valve stem 305;
a threaded part 303 extending from the valve head 304 to the upper end 306 of the valve; and
the nut 301 fastened to the threaded part 303 at the upper end 306 to facilitate easy access for torquing of the nut 301.
2. The valve as claimed in claim 1, wherein a grommet 302 is fastened to the threaded part 303 above the valve head 304, at radially inner side of the rim 601, for sealing the rim 601.
3. The valve as claimed in claim 1, wherein the nut 301 is fastened to the threaded part 303 at radially outer side of the rim 601 to facilitate easy access for torquing of the nut 301.
4. The valve as claimed in claim 1, wherein a gap 401 is present between the nut 301 and grommet 302 based on a thickness of the rim 601.
5. The valve as claimed in claim 1, wherein the grommet 302 is a stepped grommet including a first part 402 having a smaller diameter based on a thickness of the rim 601 and a second part 403 having a larger diameter based on a diameter of the valve head 304.
6. The valve as claimed in claim 2, wherein material of the grommet 302 is rubber.
7. The valve as claimed in claim 1, wherein the valve 300 is used for rim of a tubeless truck wheel.

FIELD
[0001] The embodiments herein generally relate to valves. More particularly, the disclosure relates to a valve for rim of a truck wheel.
BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART
[0002] Wheels are one of the most important components of a vehicle. Specifically wheels of heavy vehicles such as trucks require proper assembly of the rim and tyres to ensure smooth travel. The rim of truck wheels includes a hole for the insertion of a valve to inflate and ensure the air pressure of the tire of the wheel. The valve seals the rim and ensures there is no air leakage from the tire during running of the heavy vehicle.
[0003] Generally, the assembly of a conventional valve in a rim of the truck wheel is difficult. The valve and its components are remotely situated and provide poor accessibility of tools to the valve during torquing. Torquing is crucial in ensuring proper tightening and sealing of the valve with the rim for preventing air leakage and maintaining adequate air pressure in the tyre. In the existing valves, the head of the valve is provided at the top side and the nut is provided at the bottom side, complicating the processes of handling, assembly and torquing.
[0004] Therefore, there is a need for improving accessibility of a valve for facilitating handling and assembly. Moreover, there is a need for a valve for rim of truck wheels to facilitate easy torquing.
OBJECTS
[0005] Some of the objects of the present disclosure are described herein below:
[0006] The main objective of the present disclosure is to provide a valve for a rim of a truck wheel.
[0007] Another objective of the present disclosure is to provide a valve for a rim of tubeless truck wheels.
[0008] Still another objective of the present disclosure is to provide a valve having improved accessibility of spanner to nut of the valve.
[0009] Yet another objective of the present disclosure is to provide a valve facilitating improved handling and assembly.
[00010] The other objectives and advantages of the present disclosure will be apparent from the following description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, which are incorporated for illustration of preferred embodiments of the present disclosure and are not intended to limit the scope thereof.
SUMMARY
[00011] In view of the foregoing, an embodiment herein provides a valve for a rim of a truck wheel.
[00012] In accordance with an embodiment, the disclosure provides a valve for a rim of a truck wheel, comprising a nut, a valve stem, a threaded part, a valve cap and a valve head. The valve includes an upper end and a lower end. The valve cap is attached to the lower end of the valve. The valve head is positioned at an end of the valve stem. The threaded part extends from the valve head to the upper end of the valve and the nut is fastened to the threaded part at the upper end to facilitate easy access for torquing of the nut. In an embodiment, the valve is used for rim of a tubeless truck wheel.
[00013] In accordance with an embodiment, the valve includes a grommet fastened to the threaded part above the valve head, at radially inner side of the rim, for sealing the rim. In an embodiment, the nut is fastened to the threaded part at radially outer side of the rim to facilitate easy access for torquing of the nut.
[00014] In accordance with an embodiment, the valve includes a gap present between the nut and grommet based on a thickness of the rim.
[00015] In accordance with an embodiment, the grommet is a stepped grommet having a first part with a smaller diameter based on a thickness of the rim and a second part with a larger diameter based on a diameter of the valve head. In an embodiment, material of the grommet is rubber.

Accordingly, the examples should not be construed as limiting the scope of the embodiments herein.
[00025] As mentioned above, there is a need to provide a valve having improved accessibility and facilitating easier handling and assembly. In particular, there is a need to provide a valve for a rim of a truck wheel for easier torquing. The embodiments herein achieve this by providing “A valve for a truck wheel”. Referring now to the drawings, and more particularly to Fig.1 through Fig. 6, where similar reference characters denote corresponding features consistently throughout the figures, there are shown preferred embodiments.
[00026] Fig 1 illustrates a perspective view 100a, front view 100b and right side view 100c of a valve 100, according to prior art. The valve includes a valve head 101, an O-ring 102, a nut 103 and a valve stem 104.
[00027] The valve head 101 is provided at a top side of the valve. The O-ring 102 is provided below the valve head 101. The nut 103 is fastened at middle of the valve, wherein the nut 103 is situated at a radially inner side of a rim after assembly. The valve head 101 is situated at a radially outer side of the rim after assembly.
[00028] Fig.2 illustrates a sectional view of the valve, according to prior art. The sectional view illustrates a vertical section of the valve head 101, O-ring 102 and the nut 103 of the valve 100.
[00029] Fig.3 illustrates an exploded view of a valve 300, according to an embodiment. The valve comprises of a nut 301, a grommet 302, a threaded part 303, a valve head 304, a valve stem 305 and a valve cap 308. The valve includes an upper end 306 and a lower end 307.
[00030] In an embodiment, the valve head 304 is positioned at an end of the valve stem 305. The threaded part 303 extends from the valve head 304 to the upper end 306. The nut 301 is fastened to the threaded part 303 at the upper end 306. The grommet 302 is fastened to the threaded part 303 above the valve head 304.

[00033] In an embodiment, the grommet is a stepped grommet, having a first part 402 with a smaller diameter and a second part 403 with a larger diameter. The smaller diameter of the first part 402 is based on a thickness of rim, for accommodating the rim of the wheel. The larger diameter of the second part 403 is based on a diameter of the valve head 304, wherein the grommet is fastened above the valve head 304. In a preferred embodiment, the larger diameter of the second part 403 is equal to a diameter of the valve head 304. Bottom surface of the second part 403 is in contact with a top surface of the valve head 304.
[00034] In an embodiment, a gap 401 is maintained between the nut 301 and the grommet 302. The gap 401 is maintained based on a thickness of rim, for accommodating the rim of the wheel between the nut 301 and the grommet 302.
[00035] In an embodiment, material of the grommet 302 is rubber. The grommet 302 is provided for ensuring tight sealing of the valve to rim of the wheel
[00036] Fig.5 illustrates a sectional view of the valve 300, according to an embodiment. The sectional view shows a vertical section of the nut 301, the grommet 302 and the valve head 304 of the valve 300.
[00037] Fig.6 illustrates the valve 300 in a rim of the wheel, according to an embodiment. The valve 300 is inserted into a valve hole in a rim 601 of a wheel.

[00039] The nut 301 is fastened to the threaded part 303, at a radially outer side 602 of the rim 601, for facilitating easier accessibility of a spanner to the nut 301 for torquing. The position of the nut 301 at outer side 602 of the rim provides ease of handling and assembling of the valve 300.

[00042] Still another advantage of the present disclosure is that the valve provides easier accessibility of spanner or similar tools to the nut.
[00043] Yet another advantage of the present disclosure is that it facilitates better torquing of the valve through the nut.
