An Innovative Use Of De Oil Cake (D. O. C.) For The Generation Of Power And Steam

Abstract: An innovative method of using D.O.C. for generation of power and steam. After an extraction of oil from Caster seeds whatever is left is known as D.O.C. This D.O.C. has a potential to use in high-pressure fuel dized bed combustion boiler because of its good efficiency for burning and it's ash has good fusion point. It is found that D.O.C. reduces clinker, which is generated after burning of D.O.C. The combination of caster de oil cake with few amount of coal reduces the cost of power generation as well as controls the environment pollution.

4. Description:
[0001] FIELD OF INVENTION
[0002] An Innovative use of De Oil Cake (D.O.C.) for the generation of power and steam.
[0003] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0004] De Oil Cake (D.O.C.)
[0005] The material, which is produce after the removal of oil from caster, is call as De Oil Cake. The manufacturer of D.O.C. is treated with alcohol or flammable liquid like acetone, alcohol etc. which will lead to complete removal of the oil from the D.O.C. and the D.O.C. will become more flammable because of being treated with the highly flammable liquids. The oil portion in this cake is very low and due to this reason it becomes flammable. The D.O.C. mainly contains carbon, nitrogen, sulphor, moisture, ash, silica, oil contents, phosphor, potash etc.
[0006] Coal
Indonesia coal is use as raw material and which is mixed with de oil cake. The coal may contain ash, moisture, sulphor, volatile mater and carbon etc.
[0007] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The main object of this invention is to use of De Oil Cake (D.O.C.) as a raw material for the generation of power and heat.

[0009] Definitions
[0010] The term "Boiler" as used herein refers to a boiler which is a closed vessel in which water or other fluid is heated under pressure. The fluid is then circulated out of the boiler for use in various processes or heating applications. Construction of boilers is mainly limited to copper, steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. In live steam toys, brass is often used. The boiler can be classified in mainly two types like Fire-tube boiler and water-tube boiler. The various type of boilers which may use for steam generation are Superheated Steam Boilers, Supercritical Steam Generators, Hydronic boilers etc.
[0011] The term "Generator" as employed herein refers to any type of the generation, which converts the kinetic energy to electrical energy, generally using electromagnetic induction. The task of converting the electrical energy into mechanical energy is accomplished by using a motor. The source of mechanical energy may be a reciprocating or turbine steam engine, water falling through a turbine or waterwheel, an internal combustion engine, a wind turbine, a hand crank, or any other source of mechanical energy.
[0012] The term "Crusher" as employed herein refers to the Crushers which are commonly classified by the degree to which they fragment the starting material, with coarse crushers not reducing it much, intermediate crushers fragmenting it much more significantly, and grinders reducing it to a fine powder. The various type of crusher, which may used are Jaw crusher, Gyratory crusher (Cone crusher), Impact crushers, Roller crushers and Roller crushers etc.
[0013] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The main object of this patent is to use of De Oil Cake (D.O.C.) as a raw material for the generation of power or heat.
[0015] Following are the steps, which indicate the use of De Oil Cake (D.O.C.) for the generation of heat or power:
[0016] The first step is unloading the De Oil Cake (D.O.C.) and Coal
[0017] According to the claim [0016], the bags of D.O.C. are taken from the storage room and that bags are cut in such a way that the D.O.C. will go directly in to the grizzly hopper.
[0018] According to the claim [0017], the grizzly hopper is connected with the crusher by belt conveyor.
[0019] According to the claim [0018], the crusher will crush the D.O.C. and will decrease the particle size less then 6 mm.
[0020] According to the claim [0019], the particle size less 'then 6 mm size will go ahead and the bigger particle will go again in to the crusher by another belt conveyor.
[0021] According to the claim [0020], the same process is utilize to convey the coal from guzzle hopper to bunker.
[0022] The second step is Mixing of raw material in bunker
[0023] According to the claim [0022], the raw materials of D.O.C. and coal will mix in 70 to 30 ratios in bunker.
4

[0024] According to the claim [0023], the ratio of materials may range from 0 to 100 for both the materials.
[0025] The third step is combustion of material
[0026] According to the claim [0025], the properly mixed material is loaded in to the combustion chamber and that will burn through burning cottons in to the combustion chamber.
[0027] According to the claim [0026], the preheated air that has come from economizer is forced by force draught fan , which pass through the combustion chamber and will go on the upper side of the chamber.
[0028] According to the claim [0027], the materials will combusted in the chamber by which the chamber will achieve 800 to 900 °C.
[0029] According to the claim [0028], the temperature can be kept constant by controlling the feeding rate of the raw material.
[0030] The fourth step is steam generation
[0031] According to the claim [0030], the air that goes on the upper side of the chamber will increase the temperature of water drum, which are fixed on the upper portion of the chamber.
[0032] According to the claim [0031], the water was continuously supplied in to the water drum by flowing preheated water from economizer.
5

[0033] According to the claim [0032], the hot air will increase the temperature of the water drum, which will lead the generation of the steam.
[0034] According to the claim [0033], the generated steam will go in to the steam drum.
[0035] The fifth step is power generation
[0036] According to the claim [0035], the produced steam is further concentrated to generate super saturated steam in super heater header.
[0037] According to the claim [0036], the steam is pass through the 2 MW turbines for the generation of power.
[0038] The sixth step is Environment control
[0039] According to the claim [0038], the hot air that is produced by boiling D.O.C. and coal together which will pass from the economizer in which the temperature of air will be reduced because the heat shall be absorbed by heating air and water.
[0040] According to the claim [0039], the low temperature air will pass from electrostatic precipitator in which it may precipitate the positive and negative attacking particles.
[0041] According to the claim [0040], the accumulation of that all particles shall call as ash of D.O.C. and coal.
[0042] According to the claim [0043], this is one of the way by which the air pollution can be controlled.
