Abstract: Sweetener compositions are disclosed which can replace ordinary granulated sucrose on a spoon-for-spoon basis. Comprising, in part, of high intensity artificial sweeteners, the disclosed novel sweetener product has equitable flavoring and taste qualities to those of table sugar.

The following specification describes the invention


FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates generally to formulations of sugar substitutes and more particularly to such characterized by a high sweetness intensity, excellent sweetness and which are useful as sweeteners for various foods and drinks, and to a process for producing the same.
BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
People have a craving for sweet foods and drinks, however, natural sweeteners, such as sugar, have a high caloric content and therefore are conducive to weight gain. Moreover, people with certain medical conditions, such as various forms of diabetes, must severely limit their sugar intake.
In order to overcome these problems, researchers have been looking for compositions a very low or no caloric content, are sweet but otherwise have a neutral taste and can be readily used in food stuff.
Diabetes, metabolic syndrome, impaired glucose tolerance and related problems in glycemic control / management are major public health concerns in the modern world. Thus, it would be highly advantageous to provide a composition that assists in managing glycemic control and glucose levels with nutritional support beneficial for those affected by such disorders and health conscious individuals who carefully monitor their sugar / calorie intake.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In accordance with principles of the present invention, the present disclosure is directed towards product compositions as specified in Table 1.

The invention is more easily comprehended by reference to the specific embodiments recited hereinabove which are representative of the invention. It must be understood, however, that the recited embodiments are provided for the purpose of illustration, and that the invention may be practiced otherwise than as specifically illustrated without departing from its spirit and scope. As will be realized, the present invention is capable of various other embodiments and that its several components and related details are capable of various alterations, all without departing from the basic concept of the present

invention. Accordingly, descriptions will be regarded as illustrative in nature and not as restrictive in any form whatsoever. Modifications and variations of the system and apparatus described herein will be obvious to those skilled in the art. Such modifications and variations are intended to come within the scope of the present invention.
