Specification

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present invention is in relation to a novel intersection computer engineering and
online gaming. The present invention i.e., “Player Xchange”–is a gaming format to reward
skill, knowledge, and predictive intelligence of users, wherein the format comprises of listing
of cricketers and other athletes along with their respective monetary values, as may be
determined basis various metrics, in the form of digital assets, on the platform available to the
users. The users can then buy or sell such digital assets, in order to make a profit by
exercising their skills.
BACKGROUND FOR THE INVENTION:
[002] The following paragraphs delve into the background to the invention and is solely
intended simplify the nuanced understanding of the present invention. However, it should be
appreciated that the simplification of the present invention, is not and cannot be construed to
be an acknowledgment or admission, that any of the material referred to herein, was
published, known, or part of the common general knowledge in any jurisdiction as on the
priority date of this application. If the details provided herein or parts thereof, inadvertently
belong to any earlier publication, then it is clarified that such references have been
incorporated herein only as a reference for describing the real world problems and are used
merely as general terminologies used in common parlance, or well-known principles of
science and technology.
[003] The current offerings available in the digital gaming market, which are arguably
similar to the present invention have several limitations which are eliminated in their entirety
in the present invention. As on date, in similar player buying-selling formats, the formats are
based on primarily a single-stat selection from one card at a time which in turn determines the
3
value of the card. The cost of a player or card belonging to particular player is decided
initially or is updated as per his performance only after the match or tournament concludes
without taking into account the player’s real time performance. In addition to the
aforementioned limitations, the following should also be taken into consideration -
- There is no further involvement with the game thereon.
- User doesn’t get to keep the cards/assets they have played with/earned.
- The user has to repeat the entire process for each match which makes the overall
system non-rewarding and unintelligent.
- Moreover, the current offerings available primarily deal in just one player’s value.
[004] The current gameplays available in the digital gaming market are equivalent to
playing in isolation, and as there is just one strategy to be implemented and one sport being
offered to users which essentially restricts the users to think of the best stat of that player at
that moment without having access to a platform akin to a marketplace where the values
associated with such digital assets are dynamic and ever-changing allowing the users to trade
in real time depending on various metrics. There is no ownership over the associated values,
low randomness given the limited number of players and sport formats, and lack of
involvement in the overall gameplay. The user can remember and predict the stats due to low
liquidity which in turn allows the users to manipulate the platform. So, it had become even
more crucial to develop, create and curate a novel gameplay which can be scaled across
multiple sports creating an amalgamation of genres which is fair and competitive. The present
invention provides solutions to the real world issues specified above, i.e., it caters for
involvement of user’s skill, increases randomness due to the sheer volume of players on the
platform, incorporates more involvement amongst the users, and resolves ownership issues
4
over values, creating a novel and one-of-a-kind invention for its users.
[005] Most formats around player trading - have the player value linked to either the
demand-supply or to the in-match performance. The Applicant has conducted a worldwide
prior art search. Following are some of the closest prior art documents cited as on filing
date of this patent application:
[006] US11083957B2 discloses an electronic trading card game. The card game discloses a
method for competing in the gameplay of an electronic trading card game within a game host
between a first player and a second player including (i) selecting a plurality of statistical
categories that are shown to each player; (ii) each player assigning one of the individual
trading cards from their respective pack of trading cards to each statistical category; (iii)
comparing a relevant statistic included on each of the individual trading cards for each player
that has been assigned to each statistical category, and (iv) determining a winner for each
statistical category based on which of the individual trading cards assigned to that statistical
category has the best relevant statistic. Unlike the present invention, the aforementioned prior
art does not allow users to buy-sell any virtual assets in real time amongst each other and
does not provide for a free marketplace, as it only permits single player vs player
engagement.
[007] WO0148580A2 discloses a system for collecting and using electronic trading cards.
The electronic trading card is provided based on a smart card, storing information related to a
famous personality. The smart card is read by a user's local computer and transfers security
information to the local computer for permitting the playing of a computer game. The system
failed to disclose a reward-getting method. Also, the system failed to address network and
server-related issues. The system failed to disclose monetary rewards and selling- buying of
cards. Also, the system failed to use blockchain technology.
5
[008] In light of the foregoing, it is established that the present invention is novel and there
is a dire need to overcome the problems prevalent in the prior art(s) which are resolved
through the present invention.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which satisfies, at the very least one
embodiment herein, are as follows.
[009] The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the
existing offerings available in the market to users and the prior art(s).
[010] An object of the present invention is to provide a platform which facilitates user
engagement during any real time match(s).
[011] The object of the present invention is to provide a 24*7 live marketplace.
[012] The object of the present invention is to provide value updating logic.
[013] An object of the present invention is to provide live stats and predictive analytics for
users to make conscious choices based on reason and rationale.
[014] Other objects and advantages of the present disclosure will be more apparent from the
following description, which is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[015] Current offerings in the market around gamification of sports do not offer the level of
excitement and engagement. All the formats/products in the market do not have levers and
functionalities to engage the users during the real time live match or gratify users
instantaneously.
6
[016] Most of the existing formats allow the users to create their teams or select a player
before the match, and there is virtually no engagement during the match. However, in the
present invention, the users can modify their collection of digital assets, and can buy/sell the
selected digital assets even during the match.
[017] Most of the existing formats that allow trading pertaining to athletes, specifically
crickets, do not offer high liquidity, hence the option to buy/sell is available only during
certain hours of the day limiting the user’s ability to freely trade. Moreover, there is also a
constraint that a buyer needs to be matched to a seller in real time, in order to be able to go
ahead with the transaction. The present invention will be a 24*7 marketplace where the users
can trade even during illiquid hours. The inventor, through this present invention, has devised
means to provide liquidity to its users at all times, as and when they want to buy or sell cards
from their collection of digital assets.
[018] Most of the existing formats around player trading - have the player value linked to
either the demand-supply or to the in-match performance. Whereas even the formats that
provide value changes on the basis of in-match performance, do not gratify the users during
the match.
[019] The present invention provides a combination of both the price movements on the
basis of both the demand-supply metric for a player as well as the in-match performance of
the players. This introduces an additional element of skill for a user to be exercise a complex
set of skills by assessing the upcoming fixtures of players for each match/tournament, players
fitness levels, the strength of the opponent team, pitch conditions among many others, which
would determine the value associated with each digital asset attributed to a player.
[020] In addition to this the present invention also provides access to information to the user
on how the value of the player has changed over time and during the live match in real-time,
7
so as to inform the user and in turn creating absolute transparency.
[021] The users are provided with statistical information as to how the value of a player has
changed over time as well as during the live match. The users are provided with an
interactive information graphic to cross reference the information regarding the prices. Users
are also provided with the historical performance of the player in the past 5 matches
conveying how the player's performance has changed the price of the player.

[032] Gameplay: A user can purchase the digital asset associated with a player and sell them
anytime they like, each such digital asset will have a value associated with it. The value of
10
the digital asset will go up as the player performs well in a match or if the player witnesses a
surge in demand. In both these cases the player’s value will increase, and the users will see
the value of their assets appreciate. This appreciation or depreciation will happen in real-time
where the value of the player will keep updating on every buy-sell trigger as well as their real
time performance in the match. Users can use their knowledge of cricket and their predictive
intelligence to build a profitable portfolio of players for any tournament thereon.
[033] Existing offerings available in the market around gamification of sports do not offer
the level of excitement and engagement to the users. All the existing formats/products in the
market do not have levers or functionalities to engage the users during the live match or

teams or select a player before the match, there is virtually no engagement during the match.
However, in this format the users can modify their collection, and can buy/sell selected
players even during the match.
[034] Most formats that allow trading around sports do not offer high liquidity, such that the
option to buy/sell is available only during certain hours of the day. Moreover, there is also a
constraint that a buyer needs to be matched to a seller in order to be able to go ahead with the
transaction. The present invention facilitates and provides for a 24*7 marketplace where the
users can trade even during illiquid hours. WinZO provides liquidity to all users at all times,
whether they want to buy or sell cards from their collection.
[035] Most formats around player trading - have the player value linked to either the
demand-supply or to the in-match performance. Whereas even the formats that provide value
changes on the basis of in-match performance, do not gratify the users during the match. The
present format provides a combination of both the price movements on the basis of both the
demand-supply metric for a player as well as the in-match performance of the players. This
11
introduces an additional element of skill for a user to be exercise a complex set of skills by
assessing the upcoming fixtures of players for each match/tournament, players fitness levels,
the strength of the opponent team, pitch conditions among many others, which would
determine the value associated with each digital asset attributed to a player. In-addition to this
the format also provides access to information to the user on how the value of the player has
changed over time and during the live match in real-time.
