Reversible Edible Film, Uses And Method Of Production

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dual-function reversible edible film that comprises 1) a mixture of a sodium salt of anionic carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), with a viscosity lower than 50 cp, in a concentration comprised between 0.5 and 10% by weight, and at least another polysaccharide, in a concentration comprised between 0.1% and 5% by weight, and glycerine, in a proportion comprised between 1 and 20% by weight; 2) a marinating sauce or liquid, in a proportion comprised between 20:80 and 80:20 with respect to the mixture; and 3) spices, wherein the film exhibits two differentiated sides: side A, which surface is coated with the spices, and side B, made up of the mixture of polysaccharides, glycerine and marinating sauce or liquid. Likewise, the present invention envisages the method for producing the film, as well as its different uses.
