EPFO login: How to login to EPFO Account?

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is the statutory body responsible for administering the Employees provident funds scheme, Employees’ pension scheme, and Employees deposit linked insurance scheme. EPFO is governed by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

The online EPFO “Member e-Sewa” portal offers various services to the provident fund members such as activation of UAN, updating KYC, view/download/printing the EPF passbook, claiming withdrawal of amount from the fund. What is the prerequisite for logging in to the EPFO Account?

The member needs to register on the EPFO Member e-Sewa portal and activate his UAN before logging in to his account. UAN stands for Universal Account Number, which is a 12-digit unique number provided to all the members of EPF.

For such purpose, the member must follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Visit the “https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/”
  • Click on the "Activate UAN" option available in the right side corner of the page.
  • A page will appear asking for details to be filled in by the member, including PAN, member ID, Name, date of birth, mobile number, etc.
  • After filling in all the details, click on the 'Get Authorization Pin' button.
  • An OTP will be sent to the mobile no. for verification.
  • Enter OTP on the verification page and click on “Activate UAN”.

After UAN gets activated, the user will get a password on the same mobile number to sign in to the online EPFO account.

What is the Step-by-Step process to login to the EPFO E-Sewa Portal?

Login to EPFO portal “for Employees”:

Step 1: Visit the EPFO website.

Step 2: Click on the 'Services' tab. Then select the 'For Employees' option.

Step 3: Go to the left side corner of the page and select ‘Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP)’ under the heading ‘Services’.

Step 4: Next, the login page will appear. The member needs to enter his UAN, password, and Captcha.

Step 5: Then click on the 'Sign in’ button.

Step 6: The member has successfully logged in to his account and can access the available services on such a website. After login, some of the services available to the member are claiming the PF amount, updating their KYC details, checking the PF amount, etc.

Login to EPFO portal “for Employers”:

Step 1: Visit https://unifiedportal-emp.epfindia.gov.in/epfo/

Step 2: The employer must enter the username and password. Then click on the 'Sign in’ button.

Step 3: The employer has now successfully logged into his account.
