A Bus Bar Unit For A Transfer Switch

Abstract: Described herein is a bus bar unit[104] for a transfer switch[100], the bus bar unit[104] comprising: a bus bar member[104b], a plurality of terminals [104d] comprising a plurality of input terminals [104h] and a plurality of output terminals [104i], and a bus bar housing assembly[104a] adapted to house and slidingly support the bus bar member[104b], and adapted to fixedly support the plurality of terminals[104d], the bus bar housing defines a plurality of terminal receiving slots[104c] for at least partially receiving the plurality of terminals[104d] to be fixedly supported thereon, wherein, in a first configuration, each terminal receiving slot[104c] receives a high rated terminal[104k] to be fixedly supported thereon, outputting a high rated bus bar unit[104]; in a second configuration, each terminal receiving slot[104c] receives a combination of the low rated terminal[104l] and one or more spacers[104j] to be fixedly supported thereon, outputting a low rated bus bar unit[104].
