Abstract: Described herein, a transfer switch [100] employed for switching between one of a primary power supply and a secondary power supply, the transfer switch [100] comprising: a central adjustment unit [102] comprising a central housing [104], the central housing [104] includes a primary mechanism housing region [106] defining a primary mechanism peripheral portion [106a], a secondary mechanism housing region [108] defining a secondary mechanism peripheral portion [108a], and the central housing [104] includes a primary bus bar unit [114] comprising a primary bus bar housing [114a]; and a secondary bus bar unit [116] comprising a secondary bus bar housing [116a], wherein the primary bus bar housing [114a] and the secondary bus bar unit [116] are identical in structure and arrangement, such that in a first arrangement of the transfer switch [100], the primary bus bar housing [114a] is peripherally coupled to the primary mechanism peripheral portion [106a], while the secondary bus bar housing [116a] is peripherally coupled to the secondary mechanism peripheral portion [108a], in a second arrangement, the secondar bus bar housing is peripherally coupled to the primary mechanism peripheral portion [106a], while primary bus bar housing [114a] is peripherally coupled to the secondary mechanism peripheral portion [108a].
