Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of heat dissipation devices and in particular to a heat sink for electronic devices and mechanical devices such as EV controllers, inverters, motors, alternators, etc, wherein the heat sink has improved heat transfer and dissipation. The heat sink comprises of converging fins vertically extending from the base of a heat sink plate, wherein any two adjacent fins define a fluid flow channel between them. The inlet region of the fluid flow channel comprises fins that are evenly spaced, which then progressively converge to the outlet region of the fluid flow channel to define a convergent space at the outlet region. The heat sink further includes a provision of two or more bumps on the region defining the fluid flow channel; may comprise a fin wall edge having a fork-shaped edge at the outlet, and employ intermediate fins between the converging fins of the heat sink. < to be published with Fig.3a>
