A Throttle Body For An Internal Combustion Engine

Abstract: “A THROTTLE BODY FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE” A present disclosure relates to a throttle body for an internal combustion engine. The throttle body (10) comprises a housing (20), and a slider (30). The housing (20) comprises an intake passage (40) that is configured to flow fluid therethrough. The slider (30) is positioned within the housing (20) to open or close the intake passage. The intake passage (40) comprises a first region (42) and a second region (44). The first region (42) and the second region (44) are asymmetric with one another in respect of a plane perpendicular to the movement of the slider (30). The first region (42) of the intake passage (40) comprises a converging profile (46) configured to allow a controlled volume of the fluid to pass therethrough. Side walls of the second region extending from the converging profile of the first region and abutting to an upper wall (44b) of the second region (44). [Referred to Figure 1]
