Abstract: The present invention relates to a cooling pad assembly (100) for a cooler with indirect cooling. The cooling pad assembly (100) comprises a plurality of air channels (104) integrated within a frame (102) comprising an air inlet opening (108) and an air outlet opening (110). The cross section of the air inlet opening (108) is more than the cross section of the air outlet opening (110). Passage of air through the plurality of air channels (104) causes decrease in temperature of the air with reduced increase in relative humidity of the cooled air. Also provided is a cooling apparatus (200) comprising at least a cooling pad assembly (100) which has reduced water consumption in cooling air. FIG. 2
