A Gear Arrangement Deployed In A Circuit Breaker System

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a gear arrangement [200] capable of being installed on a molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) [102] installed within a junction box [106]. The gear arrangement [200] comprises: a housing unit [202], a drive gear [204] and an idler gear [206], installed within the housing unit [202], and engaged with each other; a rack gear [208] installed within the housing unit [202], in engagement with the idler gear [206]; and a door latch unit [210] connected to the rack gear [208]. Notably, a rotary motion of the drive gear [204] causes vertical extension motion of the rack gear [208] along with the door latch unit [210], to cause latching/unlatching of a door [108] of the junction box [106], during a closed state of the door [108].
