A Footstep For A Vehicle

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a footstep for a vehicle. The footstep comprises a support structure mounted to a body frame of the vehicle. Further, a footboard is pivotally coupled to a hollow shaft. The footboard includes a pair of walls disposed at a proximal end in a spaced apart configuration. A lug projects away from an upper surface enclosed by a flexible cam. The flexible cam includes a groove and notch. A pivot mechanism is interposed between the pair of walls and passes through the hollow shaft for pivotally coupling the footboard. The pivot mechanism is configured to selectively pivot the footboard between a locked position and an operational position. The locking member is received within the groove of the flexible cam in the locked position and the footboard is securely locked to the locking member. To be published with Figure. 3
