Human Animal Conflict Mitigation System

Abstract: Human-Animal Conflict Mitigation System (HACMS) is used so that interaction between Humans and Animals can be avoided, and loss of precious human lives or livestock can be saved in the human habitats which lie at either buffer areas or at the periphery of the forests where the tendency of the animals is to find easy prey. The system consists of an AI-enabled camera with edge and internet capabilities, a power source like electricity or solar system assisted by a power and connectivity panel to provide an internet network for transmission of selected image data to the cloud. In the cloud, there is an animal classification algorithm that checks for the animal as suggested by the forest officials to raise the alerts for its presence. The alerts are of two types, either physical or electronic. The physical alerts consist of either Hooters or alert Lights. Electronic Alerts consist of Emails, Messages, and Mobile App Notifications. These alerts provide forest officials with locations where the detection has been done so that they can take remedial steps. A mobile application is also part of the system which alerts the officials and notes all the alerts which have been generated over time.
