A Straddle Type Vehicle

Abstract: A straddle-type vehicle (100) is disclosed. The straddle-type vehicle (100) comprises a body frame (102) comprising a pair of seat rail members (103), a power unit (128), and at least one rear ground engaging member (110) operatively coupled to the body frame (102). A seat (112) is mounted to the body frame (102). The vehicle further comprises a storage compartment (200) having a body (202) defining an opening (202a) and a storage space therein, and a cover member (204) operatively connected to the body (202). The body (202) comprises an edge (205) around a periphery of the opening (202a), and the cover member (204) comprises a wall structure (207) adapted to be seated on the edge (205) of the body (202). The storage compartment (200) defines a rib structure (220) adjacent to at least a portion of the edge (205) to inhibit the entry of foreign particles into the storage compartment (200). [Figure 3]
