Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal-plastic co-moulded anode for a metal- air battery and a method for manufacturing the same. The co-moulded anode includes a metal anode having at least one main-reaction surface and at least one side-reaction surface, a pair of connectors coupled to the side-reaction surface, and a co-moulded casing formed by co-moulding plastic over the metal anode. The side- reaction surface is covered with a plastic layer, while the main-reaction surface remains free from plastic. The co-moulding process can be selected from various techniques such as injection moulding, extrusion moulding, compression moulding, over-moulding, or insert moulding. The method provides enhanced durability and performance for metal-air batteries. FIG.1
