Abstract: An optical fiber cable (1) is characterized in that: a plurality of optical fibers (10) having a geometric microbending loss characteristic FµBL_G and an optical microbending loss characteristic FµBL_O is accommodated in the internal space (3S) of a sheath (3); and when using the void ratio a of the internal space (3S) and the core count b of the optical fibers (10) accommodated in the internal space (3S) to specify the cable characteristics Dc of the optical fiber cable (1), the value of the microbending loss characteristic factor FµBL_GO represented by the equation below is 5.2×1023 or less.
