Abstract: An optical fiber cable (1) is characterized in that: a plurality of optical fibers (10) having a geometric microbending loss characteristic FµBL_G and an optical microbending loss characteristic FµBL_?ß is accommodated in the internal space (3S) of a sheath (3); and when specify the cable characteristics Dc of the optical fiber cable (1) using the void ratio a of the internal space (3S) and the core count b of the optical fibers (10) accommodated in the internal space (3S), the value of the microbending loss characteristic factor FµBL_G?ß represented by the equation below is 1.2×10-9 or less.
