Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING UNIFIED PLATFORM FOR MULTIPLE OTT PLATFORMS 5 Present disclosure discloses a system and method for providing unified platform for multiple OTT platforms. The method comprising receiving an input request from a user via the application module; filtering the input request based on at least one of a language preference, a genre preference, a title preference, an actor preference, and an OTT platform preference; transmitting the filtered input request to a search module; receiving the filtered input request 10 from the application module; creating a dynamic query based on the filtered input request; transmitting the dynamic query to a backend database; receiving the dynamic query to the search module; fetching metadata based on the dynamic query; transmitting the metadata to the application module via the search module; and displaying the metadata related to the input request received from the backend database via the search module to provide the unified 15 platform for multiple OTT platforms. TECHNICAL FIELD
[1] The present disclosure generally relates to Over-The-Top (OTT) content aggregation,
OTT content distribution, and management systems. Particularly, but not exclusively, the
5 present disclosure relates to a system and method for providing unified platform for multiple
OTT platforms.
BACKGROUND
10 [2] In recent past, with substantive rise in information and digital technology, OTT
platforms or media service have emerged as one of the main content providers. Easy and costeffective access to smart user devices and internet services is yet another reason for the
proliferation of OTT platforms. An OTT media service is any online content provider that
offers streaming media as a standalone product. The term is commonly applied to video-on15 demand platforms, but may also refer to audio streaming, messaging services, or internet-based
voice calling solutions.
[3] Typically, OTT services (also, referred as OTT media services) may be an alternative
medium to traditional media distribution channels such as telecommunications networks, or
20 cable television providers. The OTT services are accessed using web-based internet services.
Particularly, the OTT services are availed via paid subscriptions and to some extend inapplication purchases or advertisements. A user may download an application for a particular
OTT service provider. Nowadays, with growing interest in media content, users are drawn
towards availing and downloading applications for all different OTT service providers due to
25 availability of different type of content.
[4] Currently, options available for the user for availing these media content is taking
individual subscriptions for each OTT streaming application. That is, users must have to
download all the OTT applications on respective platform. However, this option has its own
