TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to reconstitutable premix for a cleansing composition that is
formulated to be reconstituted with water to provide a cleansing composition such as handwash
liquid, shampoo, face wash, or a bodywash or a dishwash composition.

BACKGROUND & PRIOR ART
Personal cleansing compositions such as a shower gel, liquid hand soap, shampoo, hair
conditioners and bodywash compositions are often formulated in aqueous ready-to-use formats
and are packaged in bottles, sachets and pouches made of plastic. Homecare compositions
10 such as dishwash compositions are also sold in aqueous format.
I/WE CLAIM
1) A non-aqueous reconstitutable premix for a cleansing composition, said premix
comprising:
a) 10 to 75 wt% non-soap anionic surfactant;
b) 5 to 30 wt% soap;
c) 2 to 20 wt% polygalactomannan gum; and,
d) 0.2 to 8 wt% diutan gum;
where, a corresponding aqueous cleansing composition is prepared by reconstituting 1
part by weight premix with 10 to 20 parts by weight water.
2) A non-aqueous reconstitutable premix as claimed in claim 1 wherein said premix
comprises 5 to 15 wt% polygalactomannan gum.
3) A non-aqueous reconstitutable premix as claimed in claim 1 or 2 wherein said premix
comprises 0.2 to 4 wt% diutan gum.
4) A non-aqueous reconstitutable premix as claimed in any of claims 1 to 3 wherein the
combined amount of said non-soap anionic surfactant and said soap is 15 to 90 wt%
where the amount of non-soap surfactant is greater than the soap.
5) A non-aqueous reconstitutable premix as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4 wherein the
non-soap anionic surfactant is alkyl sulphate, alkyl ether sulfate, alkaryl sulfonate,
isethionate, ester sulphonate, alkyl succinate, alkyl sulfosuccinate, alkyl ether
sulfosuccinate, N-alkyl sarcosinate, alkyl phosphate, alkyl ether phosphate, and alkyl
ether carboxylic acid, taurate or a glycinate.
