Field of the invention
The invention provides compositions to produce plant based vegan suede leather
5 alternatives.
In the present invention, plant based vegan suede leather alternative is also referred
as plant based vegan suede leather or plant based suede leather or vegan suede
leather or simply suede leather.
We Claim:
1. Composition for preparing Plant based Vegan Suede Leather wherein the
composition comprises an agri waste fiber dust obtained by processing agri waste
5 fibers wherein the agri waste fiber dust is in the form of a paste or a mixture.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the particle size of agri waste
fiber dust is not more than 1 mm, preferably not more than 500 mm.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1 is a coating composition for coating a
backing layer or fabric or coated backing layer or fabric wherein the coating
10 composition is applied as a single coating layer or two coating layers or multiple
coating layers.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 3 wherein the single coating layer or at least
one layer of two or multiple coating layers contains an agro waste biomass filler.
5. The composition as claimed in the claim 4 wherein agri waste biomass filler is
15 saw dust collected from wood bark, dead cell layer of a plant including cork dust,
or orange peel.
6. The composition as claimed in the claim 1 wherein the agri waste fiber is selected
from banana stem fiber, jute fiber, pineapple fiber, wheat husk, rice husk, Corncob
fiber, hemp or sugarcane waste, and coconut shell.
20 7. The composition as claimed in the claim 1 wherein the agri waste fiber dust is in
a form of an agri paste comprising agri waste fiber dust, binder and an additive
selected from one or more of a plasticizer, preservative and optionally a colour.
8. The composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the agri waste fiber dust is in the
form of a mixture comprising the agri paste of claim 6 and a natural adhesive.
