A Process For Dimethyl Ether (Dme) Production From Co2 And Hydrogen

Abstract: TITLE: A PROCESS FOR DIMETHYL ETHER (DME) PRODUCTION FROM CO2 AND HYDROGEN 10 The present invention relates to a method for achieving direct DME product with 98 % purity using CO2 and H2. The DME purification step involves Separating CO2 and H2 using Methanol as a solvent as well as recovering methanol from methanol water mixture. The process involves recycling un reacted Co2 and H2 back to DME reactor 15 as well as utilizing heat generated from DME reactor to produce steam which can be used for Methanol distillation.
