Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for the temperature and pressure measurement of downstream (draft tube) water for Efficiency measurement by Thermodynamic Method in hydroelectric projects comprises of: a Pipe header(A), special plates(B) and piping(C), wherein the Pipe header(A) is having provision for mounting temperature sensors and connection for joining the piping(C) from draft tube measurement section and header(D) for head (pressure) measurement, in which the Plate(B) having tapping for pressure measurement and is connected with the piping(C) installed in draft tube, and the piping(C) with thermal insulation is provided to measure the water temperature of the reference section in the draft tube. Here flowing water can be used as blanketing the sample water from the draft tube section, thus minimizing the heat transfer losses of sample water from draft tube. The invention involves Minimum installation works and does not affect the other functioning of the power plant.
