Abstract: Abstract Anti-vibrational unit in a supply module The supply module 12 comprises a mounting bracket 14 and a hexagonal nut 16. The hexagonal nut 16 is fitted to mounting bracket 14 on the supply module 12. The anti-vibrational unit 10 comprises at least one gel block 18, an isolation washer 20 and a spring washer 22. The at least one gel block 18 positioned between the supply module 12 and the mounting bracket 14. The mounting bracket 14 and the at least one gel block 18 are tightened together in the supply module 12 using a tightening technique. Figure 1

The following specification describes and ascertains the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
Field of the invention
[0001] This invention is related to an anti-vibrational unit in a supply module.

Background of the invention
[0002] Vibration measurement is one of the important criteria and results will be varied for same components due to different applications and mounting locations. After Vibration measurement failure layout needs to be changed and repeat measurement to be done. This will take more time and this failure affects project timeline.

[0003] A US6494444 discloses a vibration damper installed in a vibrative member of a vehicle, for reducing vibration of the vibrative member. More particularly, the present invention is concerned with such a vibration damper which is novel in construction and which is suitably applicable to vibrative members such as suspension arms, sub frames, body panels, mounting brackets, and vibrative members used in an engine unit or an exhaustion system, so that the vibration damper exhibits an excellent damping effect with respect to vibrations excited in these vibrative members.

Detailed description of the embodiments
[0005] Figure 1 illustrates an anti-vibrational unit 10 in a supply module 12, in accordance with an embodiment of the invention. The supply module 12 comprises a mounting bracket 14 and a hexagonal nut 16. The hexagonal nut 16 is fitted to mounting bracket 14 on the supply module 12. The anti-vibrational unit 10 comprises at least one gel block 18, an isolation washer 20 and a spring washer 22. The at least one gel block 18 positioned between the supply module 12 and the mounting bracket 14. The mounting bracket 14 and the at least one gel block 18 are tightened together in the supply module 12 using a tightening technique.

[0006] Further the construction of the anti-vibrational unit 10 in the supply module 12 is explained. The isolation washer 20 is positioned between one end of said hexagonal nut 16 and said supply module 12. The spring washer 22 is positioned between the mounting bracket 14 and an another end of the hexagonal nut 16. The at least one gel block 18 is made of silicone material. However, it is to be understood that the gel block 18 can be made of any other material that is known in the state of the art that can withstand the temperature and the vibration. The anti-vibrational unit 10 comprises a tightening element 24 is fitted between the mounting bracket 14 and the at least one gel block 18 using the tightening technique.

[0007] According to one embodiment of the invention, the tightening element 24 is a bolt M8. The at least one gel block 18, the isolation washer 20, the spring washer 22, the tightening element 24 together forms the anti-vibrational unit 10. The anti-vibrational unit 10 is made temperature resistant that can withstand to a temperature range of -40 to +200 degree Celsius.

[0008] The assembly process of the anti-vibrational unit 10 on the supply module 12 is explained in detail. The mounting bracket 14 is position on at least one portion of the supply module 14 along with the hexagonal nut 16. According to one embodiment of the invention, there are two hexagonal nuts 16 used for fixing the mounting bracket 14 on the supply module 12. The invention uses two gel blocks 18 fitted between the supply module 12 and the mounting bracket 14 using the tightening element 24. Upon mounting the gel blocks 18 in between the supply module 12 and the mounting bracket 14, the tightening element 24 is fastened using any one of the tightening techniques as known in the state of the art.

[0009] The gel blocks 18 are made in such a way that, the blocks 18 encloses a portion of the corresponding tightening elements 24 that are present in between the supply module 12 and the mounting bracket 14. As shown in the figure, one end of the tightening element 24(a) is in contact with the isolation washer 20 and other end of the tightening element 24(b) is in contact with the spring washer 22. The isolation washer 20 is positioned on the tightening element 24 above the supply module 12 as shown in the figure and is fastened along with the hexagonal nut 16.

[0010] In the other side, the spring washer 22 is positioned at the other end of the tightening element 24 and in contact with the mounting bracket 14 (as shown in the figure) and is tightened using the hexagonal nut 16. According to one embodiment of the invention, the anti-vibrational unit 10 comprises two gel blocks 18, four hexagonal nuts 16, two isolation washers 20, two spring washers 22, two tightening elements 24.

[0011] With the above-mentioned arrangement, the vibrations are reduced during the operational state of the supply module 12. As the unit 10 is made to withstand the wide range of temperatures, the anti-vibrational unit 10 provides a low-cost effective solution. Silicon gel in the blocks 18 provides an effective shock and vibration isolation protection and also reduces the noise. They are made as an environmentally friendly solution as it doesn’t contain harmful additives. The above-mentioned unit 10 provides an extended product lifetime as the vibrations are reduced.

1. An anti-vibrational unit (10) in a supply module (12), said supply module (12) comprises a mounting bracket (14) and a hexagonal nut (16) adapted to fit said mounting bracket (14) on said supply module (12),
characterized in that:
said anti vibrational unit (10) comprising:
- at least one gel block (18), an isolation washer (20) and a spring washer (22), said at least one gel block (18) positioned between said supply module (12) and said mounting bracket (14), said mounting bracket (14) and said at least one gel block (18) are tightened together in said supply module (12) using a tightening technique.

2. The anti-vibrational unit (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said isolation washer (20) is positioned between one end of said hexagonal nut (16) and said supply module (12).

3. The anti-vibrational unit (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said spring washer (22) is positioned between said mounting bracket (14) and an another end of said hexagonal nut (16).

4. The anti-vibrational unit (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one gel block (18) is made of silicone material.

5. The anti-vibrational unit (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one tightening element (24) is fitted between said mounting bracket (14) and said at least one gel block (18) using said tightening technique.

6. The anti-vibrational unit (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one gel block (18) is made to enclose said at least one tightening element (24).

7. The anti-vibrational unit (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one gel block (18), said isolation washer (20), said spring washer (22), said at least one tightening element (24) together forms said anti-vibrational unit (10).

8. The anti-vibrational unit (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said anti-vibrational unit (10) is made temperature resistant.
