Abstract: A spheroidal graphite iron having high strength, high ductility and high durability, with a microstructure having more than 95% of ferrite and less than 5% of pearlite structure with spheroidal graphite. The spheroidal graphite iron of the present invention is capable of being alloyed with at least one element from the group of alloying elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorous, sulfur copper and manganese. The spheroidal graphite iron of the present invention is a non-heat treated iron having yield strength greater than 470 MPa, and elongation of more than 10%. [FIGURE 2]
