Electrical Connector With Variable Position Control

Abstract: The invention relates to A header (1) configured to be mounted onto a printed circuit board (38), comprising: a housing (2); a first fixation member (4) attached to the housing (2); a second fixation member (6) attached to the housing (2), the first and the second fixation member being configured to at least together fixate the header to the printed circuit board; contact pins (8) extending from the housing (2) in a downward direction (16), the contact pins (8) having a contact section (42), the contact section being configured to electrically contact the printed circuit board; wherein each of the contact pins (8) is located at least partially between the first and second fixation members (4, 6); and wherein each of the fixation members (4, 6) includes at least one mounting pin (14) that extends in the downward direction (16) and is compressible perpendicular to the downward direction (16). Such a header is easy to assembly and capable of providing a high quality of the electrical connection. (Figure 1)
