Catalytic Converter Theft Identification And Notification System For A Vehicle

Abstract: A catalytic converter theft identification and notification system (1000) includes a first sensing member (10), two second sensing members (20), and an electronic control module (100). The first sensing member (10) may be disposed on an exhaust pipe (EP) 5 of the vehicle and configured to sense a first component of exhaust gases. The second sensing members (20) may be disposed on the exhaust pipe (EP) and configured to sense a second component of the exhaust gases. The electronic control module (100) may be coupled to the first and second sensing members (20) and adapted to receive the first and second signals generated by the first and second sensing members (10, 20), 10 store the received first and second signals and generate a first output value, a second output value and a third output value by performing one or more calculations based on the previous values of the first and second signals and current values of the first and second signals. 15 Figure 1 is representative figure.
