A Lock Device

Abstract: A lock device including a lock housing, and a barrel movably secured within the lock housing is described. The barrel includes a key insertion passage for receiving a key. A first barrel body being ingressed into the lock housing and a set of tumblers provided in the first barrel body for movement into and out of engagement with the lock housing. Radial movement of the set of tumblers displaces between an extended position and a retracted position to selectively engage and disengage with the lock housing upon insertion and removal of the key to selectively lock and unlock the barrel relative to the lock housing. A second barrel is ingressed into the housing and is positioned on to the first barrel body. The second barrel body being configured to displace independently from the first barrel body upon receiving a torque exceeding a pre-determined limit acting on the second barrel body.
