A Connector Assembly For Connecting Electrodes In A Battery

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a connector assembly for connecting electrodes in a battery. The connector assembly comprises a busbar adapted to couple a first electrode of a cell to a second electrode of a subsequent cell within the battery. The busbar is defined with a rigid member coupled to the first electrode. A flexible portion is having one end extending from the rigid member and a crimped terminal is mounted to other end of the flexible portion. The connecting assembly includes a swappable terminal coupled to the crimped terminal configured to be in contact with a provision at the second electrode. A plug is coupled to the swappable terminal and configured to extend through the provision of the second electrode. Further, a retainer is adapted to releasably engage and lock the plug about the provision to prevent dislodgment of the swappable terminal from the second electrode. Figure. 1
