Abstract: ABSTRACT YARN WINDING SYSTEM A yarn winding device includes a yarn joining part, a catching part configured to move between a catch position and a guide position, a yarn detector configured to be capable of switching detection sensitivity on yarn detection, a controller configured to determine whether the yarn caught by the catching part is present based on a detection result of the yarn detector, and an acquisition part configured to acquire at least either information on the thickness of the yarn or information on whether there is false detection or non-detection of the yarn in the yarn detector. The controller switches the detection sensitivity for the yarn in the yarn detector based on at least either the information on the thickness of the yarn or the information on whether there is false detection or non-detection.
