Process For Preparing Sartan Active Compounds Having A Tetrazole Ring

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for manufacturing at least one sartan active compound of formula (I) wherein R is selected from a group of formulas (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5), comprising the tetrazolylation of one compound of formula (II) wherein R is as previously defined, in a reactional medium with at least one azide derivative, wherein benzylic azide impurities formed during said tetrazolylation are converted into aldehyde derivatives.
