Optimized Management Of Virtual Wi Fi Access Points
Abstract: The invention relates to a method comprising the following steps implemented by a physical Wi-Fi access point (PAP1) to which a first virtual Wi-Fi access point identified by a first BSSID identifier (BSSID1) is assigned: • receiving (E1011) a message comprising the first BSSID identifier; • repeated transmission (E1021) of beacon messages (Bcnl) comprising the first BSSID identifier; • associating (E1071) a Wi-Fi station (STA) with the physical Wi-Fi access point based on the first BSSID identifier; • stopping the repeated transmission of the beacon messages comprising the first BSSID identifier.
