Abstract: The invention relates to a method for associating a Wi-Fi station (STA) with a Wi-Fi access point (AP) through a first Wi-Fi network (VAP1) advertised by the access point, the method being implemented by the station and comprising: • setting up an association (E201-E205) of the station with the access point through a second Wi-Fi network (VAP2) not advertised by the access point • sending (E206) to the access point security information (STAPubK), through the second network • setting up an association (E401-E405) of the station with the access point through the first network, depending on the security information.
